The formation of the rugby Union:

The origin of Rugby can be traced back to England, in the Rugby School in England, at Rugby in 1823, when while playing the English game of Football one of

the player ran with the ball in hand, towards the goal post. That was the seeds of a new game, which was later to be called Rugby, the rules written down

approximately 25 years later. These were the first written laws, in 1845, and the Rugby football union came into existence in 1871. At first known as Rugby

Football it finally emerged as the Rugby union in 1895.

The Game:

Rugby, is different from Football, although it is one of its branches, it is also a rougher version of football. Some would say it is a full contact sport,

which involves a lot of tackling and shoving. One team has 15 main players, and 7 substitutes, who are brought in if some player is injured or tired etc.

The team members are separated into the forwards and the backs, forwards being big and strong, need for tackling and stopping the opponents on the field.

The backs are rather more agile and swift on their feet, for they basically have to run with the ball to the goal post, which scores the points. This form

of Football is becoming more and more popular, spreading over different continents, Europe, Americas Australia and now in Japan. Japan tied with New Zealand

to host this year international Rugby Union Sporting event, lost by just a margin, and now will be hosting the next event. Australian Football or the

Australian rugby Union is becoming famously important for both the players and the spectators. The interest in the sport generates and interest in the

The Governing Body of the Rugby union, the International rugby Union as it is known, is headquartered in Ireland, Dublin to be exact, and has six regional

members. The countries which consider Rugby as a major sport are Australia, Argentina, Japan and South Africa to name a few, while those with lasting

in 1949 and it is also a member of the International Rugby Union. As stated above, Australia has a liking for this sport, and it has becoming one of its

major sporting events. Each year spectacular players make their place in the hall of fame, which is known as the Wallaby Hall of Fame, Wallabies being

the Men’s team also. These players chosen each year must have played at least one test game for Australia, rendered outstanding performances for their team

and country, and they should be retired from the game for ten years at least.

Betting and odds:

Odds are basically relative possibilities, but to a layman, the original formula of Odds would be impossible to understand and very very confusing,

to make it easier one could quote the example of choosing any day in a given week, so if we were to chose Monday our odds of choosing Monday would

be 1/7. Odds are simply the ration by which one better’s ration is higher than the other. Speaking in terms of monetary value, a stake of 0.25 wins

one monetary unit, so if we talk about 4 factors it would mean a stake of ¼. But if we talk abut a 4/5 probability and the event occurs, and then one

could receive the original stake of four and one. Talking about gambling or betting, the chances of winning are not that on display, but what the

bookmaker would pay on the winning bets. The payout to the gambler is less than what is represented in the odds that is because the bookmaker has to

make a profit.

There is another very important term in betting odds that is Even Odds, which means that the outcome of the odds would be one-on-one or double the money.

Timing is very crucial, the difference between winning and losing we can say. So to get the best odds when one is wagering, they should keep the timing

in mind, the trick would be, to place the odds for the favourites early up, and leave the weaker teams, or if talking about racing, horses for later.

It has become easier with the internet to bet and place the odds in favour of which ever team one has a mind to, a new term is that of sports betting
